"E-Eridan? It’s b-been quite a while." Waverly smiled, relieved to see he was alright, and held her arms out to hug him. "I’ve b-been surviving, love. H-how about you? Is everything alright?"
Waverly stood up, grabbing Eridan’s chin and returning the gesture with a brief peck on the lips before leaving to root around in the icebox for something dinner-worthy. “And I love you t-too, dearest,” she said warmly, brushing her hand through Eridan’s hair as she walked away.
Eridan chuckled a bit and blushed as he watched Waverly walk away to get some food. “It’s so nice bein’ here wwith you.”
With a happy sigh, Waverly poured Eridan a glass of water in a tin cup and handed it to him. “I’m g-g-glad you’re here,” she said sweetly. “I m-missed you, you know. B-but I understand, you h-have things to do as well. But I love it when you v-visit.”
Eridan drank the water quickly and set the tin cup back down. “I don’t really havve much to do, actually. I’d lovve to vvisit more often.”
((You know you don fucked up when your fandom is so toxic it makes people give up role playing as a main hobby))
Wilson looked up from the hat he was just finishing as the tall fellow addressed him. “Ah, Eridan! Yes, I don’t see why not, and I can’t exactly leave you to freeze to death as that simply wouldn’t be right. Come have a seat by the fire and I’ll start on getting us something to eat.” Pulling the hat on over his hair with a good tug to make sure it stayed in place.
Eridan smiled at the idea of being cooked for instead of doing the cooking for once in his life and happily sat down near the fire. “Thanks, Wwil. You’re the best. Wwhat’ll you be cookin’?”
"I don’t know… I could make meatballs, stew or maybe some ratatouille… What are you in the mood for?" Wilson stood over by his crock pot waiting for his friend to pick the meal.
"I’m not sure wwhat I wwant, really. Just pick wwhatevver you like most." He shrugged and looked over to Wilson. It must be cold ovver there. Hurry up so you can come sit next to me."
"Alright, I’ll just make some soup then…" Wilson shrugged and threw some meat into the pot before walking back over to the fire. "How have you been doing then? Other than the whole, forgetting about winter thing."
"I’vve been doin’ fine enough, I guess." Eridan frowned at the fact that Wilson didn’t seem too enthusiastic about meeting up with him. "It sucks not to see my friends as often any more though."
"Perhaps you should simply get out and about more then? Make more of a point of seeing people?" Wilson rubbed his hands together, looking absently into the flames before suddenly looking at Eridan. "Goodness, Sorry, that’s not very nice. I’ve just been very busy lately, I’m not quite myself…"
"No, that’s not vvery nice. I forgivve you, I guess. Just stop bein’ so busy." He shrugged. "At least you still wwant to hang out wwith me. I’vve lost contact wwith a lot of friends here."
I’m taking things at my own pace and prioritizing other things over tumblr. Getting into weightlifting and fitness has done wonders for my mood and I can always post on Facebook without being judged harshly. Tumblr is just too toxic for my health so I’m going to be taking it easy here from now on.))
((I don’t need a background ghhhhhahah although I’d like it to be a. Little serious thank you buddy friend))
"Wahh! Eridan, hello! I’m so sorry, but I’ve been trying not to die as I find food and shelter from the cold! Yes, I’m your friend! How could you doubt that?"
"We can talk if you’d like. I haven’t heard from you for a while now and I’ve been worried about you! How have you been doing? Have you been able to find food and shelter in the snow?"
"I’vve been good, I’m findin’ food an’ shelter okay. It gets cold, though. It’s horrible, but I’m okay."
"I’m glad to hear that, Eridan. It has been getting rather cold, hasn’t it? I’m worried that my fingers might fall off.” He cracks a grim smile that softens almost immediately. “You’re rather warm to me, though,” he states. He’s still dangling from Eridan’s embrace.
Eridan put Winslow back down on the ground. “Wwell, I certainly hope your fingers don’t fall off.” He took the doctor’s hand and kissed his fingers. “I’m glad you find me to be so wwarm. I’m still pretty cold, though. Hahah.”
"Oh, hello Eridan! Lonely you say? Aww that’s no good. Well let’s ‘hang out’! " She reached out and pat his shoulder, smiling at him.
"Exactly….You know, i never did get to ask….were you always this tall? I’m not sure but i think i recall you being a bit shorter…." She leaned into the petting smiling again.
"I wwas shorter for a little wwhile but y’knoww, greyface curses an’ all that. I don’t think this is evver gonna wwear off." He shrugged and smiled at how cute Whitney was acting.
She giggled softly and shook her head slightly.
"Something tells me you like being tall. It probably has a lot of advantages."
"Of course I do, an’ of course it does." He smiled widely. "I can pick all a’ you up an’ play wwith ya like pets." He giggled softly.
"Ahaha, that sounds like fun….how long have you been on the island now?"
"I don’t knoww." He shrugged. "Quite a wwhile, I guess."
"It’s been….seven? No. Almost seven months for me." She sighed before raining her head on him.
"I really wish I could help and get everyone off…"
"I don’t understand wwhy any of you want to leave here. I’m happier here than I’vve evver been." He shrugged. "Sevven months is quite a wwhile. I think I’vve been here maybe half that time."
